Quiet Christmas...

Hello Everybody,

Just a few thoughts as we get ready for Santa tonight. This Christmas seems rather strange to me. It is my first Christmas in 23 years that there will be no Children at home on Christmas morning. No bright eyes and big childish grinns when they see all the gifts that Santa left. The fun the excitement, the noise of children. I feel a little sad. But on a brighter side. Sherryl and I will get to celebrate Christmas together alone for the first time since we met. It is still kind of strange, not to have any kids, living at home. They call what I'm experiencing "The empty nest syndrome." I got one in Iraq, one in California and one that lives here in the Salt Lake Valley.
Ya, Whatever I miss my kids!
It's too QUIET around here!

Soo...Eric and I just put our deposit down on our apartment on Saturday. We plan to move in around the 13th of January. Pretty exciting. :D We just can't wait. It'll be nice to have a place of our own.
Other than the future move we are doing really quite well. Eric is working at a company called L33t Game, it's a pay-to-play center where customers can come in and pay for hours to play various gaming systems. Anything from the computers, to XBOX, XBOX 360 and when they can get some in the store, they will soon be offering paid time on the PlayStation 3. :)
He pretty much loves it. The way that he puts it, "He gets paid to play video games all day."
Despite what he loves about his job I would have to say my favorite thing is that his store is just 3 stores down from the title company that I work at. So it makes commuting a whole lot easier. :)
Since August I've been working for a title company, I started out as a receptionist and now I have collected the responsibilities as an escrow assistant as well. I learn so much everyday. I have to say, I love it. :)
There's a little update in our lives We'll definitely make sure to put up some pictures once we get settled in our new place. :)
I hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a great holiday. :)

New Puppy Soon!

Well as you all know our buddy Mac passed away. It just isn't the same around here without the little guy running around. So I decided to get Sherryl another teacup poodle. My friend's (Kirk) brother's teacup just had two pups on Thanksgiving day. One male and one female. So I called Craig (Kirk's brother), told him what had happened with Mac. And we are now the proud owners of a little male teacup poodle. Sherryl will be naming him. We get to go to Idaho to pick him up sometime between the seventh and the twenty third of January. He just opened his eyes for the first time yesterday. Sherryl was really exicited. Here's a few pictures.

hey guys, Just thought that id stop by and let yall know that im doin okie dokie over here in Iraq. Its not nearly as bad as they would have you think and most likely worse than id ever tell you guys that it was :P

I've gotten sucked into this blog thing and i created my own that i will be updating periodically wth short inputs of happenings here in Iraq. Just a little way of lettin y'll know what im up to. Hope everyone is having a good day... and on that note, i leave you with this little bit of trivia to chew on...

"When the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers play football at home, the
stadium becomes the state's third largest city."

ok ok one more for ya...

"The derivation of the word trivia comes from the Latin "tri-" + "via", which means three streets. This is because in ancient times, at an intersection of three streeets in Rome (or any other Italian place for that matter), they would have a type of kiosk where ancillary information was listed. You might be interested in it, you might not, hence they were bits of "trivia."

Take care yall
